About Me
Hi, I’m Laney Peterson, owner of Cre8tive Edge, LLC. I’ve been a graphic designer for over 16 years and a freelance graphic designer since 1999, with experience ranging from designing brochures, proposals, presentations and marketing materials for various construction, environmental and architectural firms to design and layout of consulting reports for multi-national companies. For the past several years I was part of a talented group of graphic designers for a small town newspaper, tasked with the design of daily display ads, special magazine publication covers, design and layout of special event guides (designer rotation) in addition to design and layout of a weekly special publication. In 2009, I was awarded 2nd place for “Best Use of Color” by the Colorado Press Association.
I consider myself to be a self-starter, motivated in getting the job done and ensuring quality and accuracy while meeting deadlines. Communication, attention to detail, a never-ending thirst to learn and explore as well as trying new ideas are just a few of the qualities I possess. I’m easy to get along with, having a quirky sense of humor, yet considerate of others. I maintain the highest level of professionalism while still enjoying the work that I love.
When I’m not on the computer designing an ad, website or brochure, I’m usually playing the drums or escaping to the outdoors. I enjoy hiking, fishing, geocaching and photography. I also enjoy taking things apart to see how they tick and carpentry…love power tools!
